National O-ring Gauge

With this handy gadget, it's easy to determine the size of almost any British Standard size O-ring.
Section size is identified by using the slots at the top. The AS size number of small O-rings can be found by matching them with the silhouettes along the sides of the gauge.
Larger O-rings are placed around the two halves of the appropriate spindles at the top of gauge. The slide is then extended until it is taut, and the AS size number is shown in one of the small windows near the top of the main body.

Digital Calipers

This Digital Caliper is the ideal tool for accurately measuring O-Ring sizes.

12"/300mm

All feature:

  • Manual Power Off
  • Metric/ Inch System Interchange at any position
  • Zero Setting at any position
  • Data Output Interface
  • Spare Battery
  • Smart Black Hard Carry case

O-ring Cord

Supplied as an endless extruded cord with an o-ring profile. O-ring cord can be used for cord rings (cold bond joined or vulcanized) which can then be fitted as static seals e.g. large o-rings, where standard sizes are unavailable, or for sealing flanges and container lids etc. It can be supplied in the following standard materials:
  • Nitrile
  • Viton ® Du Pont & Dow Elastomers
  • Silicone
  • EPDM
  • Neoprene
  • FEP encapsulated (Viton ® or Silicone)

Backup rings

Backup Rings are available in the following standard styles and materials:
  • Solid Split (PTFE)
    • Used to eliminate extrusion of the O-ring at pressures above 100 bar.
  • Spiral (PTFE)
    • Used in cases where fluctuations in temperature occur. Even if there is any post-shrinkage of the backup ring, there will be at least one turn of the spiral along the surface of the O-ring to prevent any extrusion. Also can be adapted for non standard diameters, as the ring can be shortened to suit.
  • Parbak (NBR)
    • The advantages of using Parbak are:
  1. They are molded in a one piece contoured design which improves performance by enabling the O-ring to keep it's shape under high pressure.
  2. Can be stretched easily into place.
  3. Parbaks do not cause the localized wear on o-rings, which is the characteristic of other types of backup ring.
